Meander
A sprawling installation series composed of thousands of hand-formed, fired ceramic marks, wired into sculptural bundles reminiscent of bouquets. Each cluster is arranged intuitively, with long, spindly extensions wrapped around and between bundles on site.
Inspired by wild foliage, beauty rituals, and communal ornamentation, the series reflects on impermanence, resilience, and the shifting contours of identity. Ranging from intimate studies to monumental wall works, Meander will culminate in a 30+ foot installation at the Whatcom Museum in Bellingham, WA, on view August 16, 2025 to January 25, 2026.
Materials: ceramic, glaze, wire, painted wood, laser-cut plexiglass
Dimensions: variable; individual bundles range from 8–12” and may span up to 30 feet in total length
