Unruly Foliage

The first mixed media/ceramics series created after pivoting from large-scale paper installations back to clay, Unruly Foliage explores gestural composition through intimate, wall-based ceramic works. These pieces reference drawing and painting—bright, improvisational, and full of movement. Each glazed form evokes imagined leaves, petals, or tangled growth, clustered into vibrant, organic arrangements. Rooted in material familiarity and intuitive making, the series marks a return to clay as both a sculptural and expressive medium.
